Darci Green,

Executive Director


Darci Green brings to the center years of experience working in the nonprofit sector, most recently for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties. Darci earned her bachelor's degree in Communications and a master's in Public Administration with a nonprofit emphasis from Grand Canyon University.

 

Darci will be working with the center's staff to create bold new strategies to continue John 23 Center's work of meeting the educational needs of students in the Racine area. Her heart is passionate about the success of children and young people.

Katie Harms,

Program Manager


Katie Harms is excited to join the John 23 Education Center as the Program Manager to serve the community of Racine and help students grow towards their future. Katie looks forward to bringing her servant-hearted passion and experience into this role to serve the community. Katie earned her Bachelor’s of Business Management degree with a minor in Sociology from Kansas Wesleyan University. Katie is also happily married to her husband and loves to spend her free time watching movies with him.


Katie is always looking for people to come in and talk to the students about their career and life experiences as a part of the Thriving Thursday programming, so if you are interested, feel free to email her.

Allison Clarke,

Outreach Coordinator


Allison Clarke has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, with an emphasis on Mental Health and Community. She is a Racine native, and has always had a passion for helping others. Although her background is mainly in the nonprofit sector, she recently worked with both elementary and middle school students in some of the Racine Unified schools, teaching social and emotional learning skills in the Extended Learning Program. Allison is excited to be joining the team at John 23, and is looking forward to building new relationships in the community.

Claire Wagner,

ESL Instructor


As a language teacher, Claire has shared her love of travel and learning her entire adult life. Since she learned French as a toddler in Switzerland and Spanish as a teenager immersed in Spain, Claire has always focused on helping her students communicate. Students learn confidence through guided practice, spontaneous conversations and music.


Claire has a Masters in English as a Second Language and she has been awarded at the Wisconsin Foreign Language conventions. On a personal level, Claire and her husband are celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary. They are the proud parents of two adult children whose lives are involved with science and medicine. Her family has traveled extensively through the United States, Mexico, and Europe. Claire also enjoys her flower garden and reading.

Perla Madrigal

Support Specialist


After 23 years of Production work, Perla decided to go on a different life/work path and accepted her position with John 23. She is extremely excited to start a new career venture and go above and beyond to assist her community and provide excellent customer service.


She believes her strong drive and willingness to learn and grow with John 23 will benefit her team and the Center. She is a lifelong resident of Racine and graduated from Horlick high school. A mother of two sons and a daughter, she loves to spend her free time with her family and close friends.

Kyle McComb

Student Coordinator


Kyle McComb is eager to help students excel in math and science. He recently graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with focuses on energy systems, physics, and chemistry. Kyle strives to continue helping others through difficult courses and form healthy study habits. His background is in manufacturing and cooling systems.


In his free time, he enjoys fixing cars, bike riding, watching sports, and playing video games. Kyle is excited to join the John 23 team and become a positive influence for youth in Racine.
